Looks like the migration process lost my login credentials. I can’t login via OpenID or Google Account (username: lurker). And judging from the site’s recent activity, this may have happened to others as well.

Hey Alistair, we haven’t found the cause of the problem yet. The quick fix would be to send us your myopenid.com username so you can use that to log in to your old/existing account. After logging in, you can add other OpenID providers to your profile including your Google OpenID.

I’m unable to log-in properly to my old/existing account. Was using Google OpenId to authenticate.

Now, if I login using the same Google OpenId it asks me for my screen name and email address—but if I supply my Gmail address it says that email address is already taken.

On the other hand, if I try password recovery and request a temporary login session it says “an email has been sent to your email address” but I don’t get anything in my inbox.

I don’t want to “create a new account” using my Google OpenId…

Thanks, Greg! We’re currently evaluating OSQA, Shapado, Askbot, and Reddit’s platform. Hopefully we could choose one and migrate before July 13. Suggestions, comments, evaluations regarding the choices are very much welcome.

@phpcurious, no need to be sad. In a way, this is great news. We’re looking at using open-source alternatives. That means, we can have more control over the platform and at the same time, give back more to the community.
